Ian is a Middle Linebacker for Brighton University Football Team. Ian’s life is and has been all about football since elementary school. It’s their senior year and Ian is looking to help the team achieve another undefeated season. He’s also hoping that he’ll get enough attention that he’ll get drafted by the NFL.Rose is a smart, determined and independent young woman. Rose has a “Rule List” about guys that she’s followed since her senior year in high school. She doesn’t do dating; she’s a “one-and-done” party girl. She’s a writer for the school newspaper and is a yoga instructor looking to build an empire of yoga facilities all on her own, to honor her late mother.Ian & Rose met in the spring of their junior year & started hanging out. When the semester was over, Ian was going abroad for 2 months to be with his family, so Rose just told him to have a good summer, and basically, see ya later. But when the new school year starts, she finds herself less & less wanting the “Party Girl” life and more of what her roommate, Olivia, has with her boyfriend. The problem is, she wants that with Ian but she let him go & is now secretly regretting it.An assignment from the new editor at the school newspaper has her befuddled because she’s to start writing for the sports column. It’s so out of her comfort zone, but she’s bound & determined to not let it defeat her. This also puts her back in Ian’s world & even though the chemistry still seems to be there, they’re both fighting to ignore it & each other.A scandal at school (among other things) throws them together to try & save the people they care about, as well as themselves. And while this is going on, there are other events taking place which only seems like fate is trying to interfere with each of their carefully planned-out lives But, we ALL know about the best-laid plans!!This is a great addition to the Brighton University series! Love Ian & Rose’s story. Loved the secondary characters also. They’re all well-developed, interesting and entertaining. Can’t wait to read Pax’s story! I feel this series just keeps getting better!! ❤️
