I one-clicked this book, and was so disappointed. Based on the other Alpha Shifter books by the same team of authors I expected more than a disjointed, juvenile writing style. This was the first time I actually thought it was obvious that two different people worked on the book. It reminded me of a term paper where one person writes the first half and someone else writes the second half, but no one bothers to make sure the voice is the same throughout. The main characters were hard to connect with, the repitition was annoying, and I'm fairly positive that the authors copy and pasted a small section of one of their other books into this one. I experienced deja vu during the scene where Deke explains himself to the bride's father. This was nearly a dnf for me and I really wish I hadn't spent 5.37 on it.
